Torrens Rowing Club runs both Senior and Junior Learn to Row programs throughout the year.
Senior Learn to Row
This popular program is run over four sessions on Sunday mornings from 10am to 12 midday. No previous experience is necessary. On water training is conducted on the Torrens Lake, just north of Adelaide’s CBD.
The minimum age for these courses is 18 years and the cost is $150. This includes a TRC cap.
Participants need to be able to swim 50 metres in light clothing (e.g. rowing kit) and be sufficiently at ease in the water to not panic. They should also be able to tread water for a minimum of 3 minutes.

The September 2024 Learn to Row program is now full.

The class of February, 2024
After completing the Learn to Row program, participants have the option to continue with the club with a 3 month provisional membership. After the provisional period, full membership can follow with a range of squad training sessions for those who would like to compete and those who enjoy the activity for fitness and recreation. The Learn to Row courses are designed for adult learning and provide a relaxed, professional and friendly environment.
Junior Learn to Row
Our program for younger people from the age of 14 to 18 is currently under review.
