Governance Statement

At Torrens Rowing Club, we strive to provide a fun, safe and collaborative environment where people of all ages can participate in the great sport of rowing. We will accept all people into our club, no matter what their origins or beliefs. We do have a firm set of principles at the Club and members are expected to abide by these principles. You are encouraged to read the policy documents listed below.

Good Sports Program

Good Sports Club logo

The Good Sports program encourages sporting clubs to create a safe, inclusive environment where everyone in the local community can get involved and do their bit. This program is a preventive health initiative. It’s implemented voluntarily through community sporting clubs; helping clubs to promote healthier, safer and family-friendly environments and behaviours. The core Good Sports program has been helping community sporting clubs to control the use of alcohol and to promote healthy behaviours — such as healthy eating and smoke free environments — for nearly two decades.
