Learn to Row

Girls quad rowing on Torrens Lake

Torrens Rowing Club runs Learn to Row programs throughout the year, designed to give an introduction to rowing both on and off water. The program is run over four session with no previous experience necessary. On water training is conducted on the Torrens River, just north of Adelaide’s CBD.

After completing the Learn to Row program, an Intermediate course of a further eight sessions is available to further build on skills and prepare rowers to join a squad. Both the Learn to Row and Intermediate courses are designed for adult learning and provide a relaxed, professional and friendly environment.

These courses require at least four people to run, starting once the minimum number of expressions of interest are reached. If you have a group of four or more people, courses can be run at a time mutually convenient time between your group and our coaches.

The minimum age for these courses is 18 years. For those under 18, please see our Winter Program.
